I'm an Ubuntu user, having just installed Puppy on an old laptop for my young daughter. How do I run an update? As you're probably aware, Ubuntu has an updater that runs at boot, continually checking the repositories for updated files and ...

I'll definitely give that a shot. Are there instructions anywhere for putting Puppy on a bootable USB (or SD card) with persistent storage? I'll be able to test much more quickly that way.
